News for Blondes is the first daily-release program from new-media company, Saxon Mills, LLC. The launch on September 4, 2006, including broadband and mobile distribution, is just a beginning. The show is underwritten by advertising and product placement.
REBECCA SAATHOFF - HOST
Rebecca Saathoff is a seasoned performer who grew up in Lubbock, Texas and now resides in New York City. A musician from birth, Rebecca excelled in high school, not only winning a place in the prestigious Texas All State Mixed Choir, but also picked as the soloist out of more than 200 auditionees. While in university at Texas Tech University, Rebecca performed leading roles in both musicals and operas such as The Last 5 Years, Kiss Me Kate, Showboat, Gianni Schicchi and many others. Always active in the community, she took time to participate in such musicals as South Pacific and Fiddler on the Roof. During the summers, Rebecca starred in Beauty and the Beast as Belle and Ado Annie in Oklahoma in professional regional theaters. Upon graduation Rebecca moved to New York City to further her studies and pursue performing. While in New York, she dazzled the News for Blondes team with her fabulous personality, charming wit, and Southern sensibilities!
J. SIBLEY LAW - PRODUCER, DIRECTOR, WRITER
J. Sibley Law has been producing since 1995 when he helped produce the United Nations 50th Anniversary in San Francisco, its birthplace. Over the years he has written, directed, and produced live theater throughout the United States, having served on the boards of multiple theater organizations. In 2004, he co-founded SquareWrights Playwright Center which has debuted more than 100 new works by American Playwrights. In 2005, he started Saxon Mills as an extension of his production work. In that time, he has produced, directed, and written more than a thousand videos for online and mobile venues. He has won awards in the following categories: cinematography, special effects, low-budget, lighting and sound and in 2007 was honored by the Webby Awards for his work on Bonnie for President, an outgrowth of News for Blondes. Law has been producing News for Blondes since 2006 and is especially proud of this latest iteration of the perky show. His work has been seen by many millions of people from around the world.
